This medium was a life-changing discovery at the time (high school) and was instantly a new favorite. It was during an advanced portfolio class that I became immediately captivated by the precision a quill allowed, falling in love with its permanent, no-smudge finish, unlike that of charcoal or pencil. I included one of my high school portfolio favorites at the bottom of this page for fun.

Highlighted here is a small, still evolving body of work in which I use a one-dimensional approach of incorporating both geometric and organic shapes to fill silhouettes of endangered animals.
